Recent Sales Noted on Ebay
I have begun listing here recent sales made on Ebay as a way of helping people value their insulators. Of course your insulators are only worth what someone will pay, but it's a start.
The details are reproduced here as they were on Ebay with some trimming, but including spelling mistakes!
The postage quoted was as advertised at the time, actual postage depended upon the bidders location. It is merely present to give an indication of postage variations as the extortionate then becomes obvious

Small Triple shed Langdon Telegraph Insulator
A good example of a scarce Triple Shed Langdon pattern Telegraph insulator. Used on a former Midland Railway Line. 5" high and 4" outside diameter. Made from a glazed cream porcelain, no makers mark, but almost certainly British Made. I have another larger version listed which is made from the hard white continental type porcelain. I show a photo of both with a standard insulator to give you an idea of size, but you are bidding on the ONE SMALL SIZED LANGDON ONLY! Amazingly there are NO cracks and only two small chips out of the bottom ridge. These are soot blackened so probably old damage. The inner sheds are perfect, and the gloss finish is fantastic...despite being buried for many years. The thread is clear and useable.
£37.66 plus £5.50 postage. 3 bids
