The item is an original ceramic insulator from a telegrapgh / telephone pole. It has a screw on top for making connections which is marked with GPO there is also a manufacturers mark on the side with a date of 1963 and made in England embosed on it. The item is in very good condition.

Irish Pottery Telegraph Insulator c1946 Glazed earthenware insulator. Clearly marked GPO with the embossed trade mark of a hand. The red hand of Ulster. It's made by Wade in their Ulster factory c1946. Symbol incorporates the Wade Owl, The hand of Ulster and the Trademark triangle. Condition: Very Good. No damages. GREAT WESTERN RAILWAY ENGLAND TELEGRAPH INSULATOR
On offer is an a old white glaze English railway telegraph insulator. The top is impressed 18 or 13 and GWR (Great Western Railway). Condition is quite good: just one small nick round the side of the bottom of the top and a small scratch on the rear body. Height is just under 12 cm.

Small Double Groove P&T Ceramic Railway Insulator
These insulators were used along the railways of the Republic of Ireland. P&T stands for Post & Telegraph. It is in good condition with no cracks just a small chip/ scratch in the glaze hardly noticeable on the top of the insulator.

Brown Highly Glazed Ceramic Railway Insulator
This insulator is in very good condition with no cracks or chips. There is no makers mark present and it has just a few light surface scratches. I found this in the Republic of Ireland some time ago. I have never seen this type in the UK with the high gloss brown glaze.
