Recent Sales Noted on Ebay
I have begun listing here recent sales made on Ebay as a way of helping people value their insulators. Of course your insulators are only worth what someone will pay, but it's a start.
The details are reproduced here as they were on Ebay with some trimming, but including spelling mistakes!
The postage quoted was as advertised at the time, actual postage depended upon the bidders location. It is merely present to give an indication of postage variations as the extortionate then becomes obvious

Gaskell & Grocott Large Ceramic Terminal Insulator
This is a large terminal insulator made by the company Gaskell and Grocott. It was recovered from the Settle to Carlisle Railway Line. Insulators made by G & G do not seem to appear very often as I only have one other in my collection as most other terminal insulators seen to be made by Bullers, Wade or Taylor Tunnicliffe. These terminal insulators came in three sizes and this is the largest. The maker's mark stamped on the side of the top shows the outline of an insulator with the words written inside and states:
The Only Way
G & G
ENGLAND
